The big hose is an automatic ice machine. It pumps ice water into a pouch under his brace. He is doing GREAT....the boys are ready for him to play again, but for now...reading books will have to do. :)

Here are our little Trick Or Treaters. Easton is Frankenstein...and he's got the "Frankenstein Walk" down pretty good! Emmerich is a Lion. He loves to ROAR at everyone too. We went to the church Family Night for a Halloween celebration. Pizza and a "Veggie Tales" movie, with a Candy Buffet at the end. It was so fun to watch the kids run around the church in their costumes. It was also fun to watch Emmerich Trick or Treat....he knew exactly what to do, and Easton loved to waltz into people's houses as soon as they open the door....these boys are not shy. :)

Emmerich and I went to a Parent Tot gymnastics class for a couple months. It was great to spend some alone time with him while Easton got some time without his big brother. If you ask me, Emmerich was the best in class. :) But I might be a little biased.

My friend Lindsey and I ran our first marathon this month. 26.2 miles....very very exhausting. I can say....I DID IT! My goal was to finish, and I did. now...on to the next big thing. - - - relaxing!

We had a great time this weekend. So busy with a wedding reception and Eric's 10 year reunion on Saturday. Emmerich is quiet the little dancer. He was all over the dance floor...we didn't even leave the wedding till 9:45! He was loving it.

Here are the boys at the family picnic in Detroit Lakes. Then we dropped them off with my parents and hit up the town for the night even of the reunion...At Zorbaz. So much fun to meet Eric's classmates and teammates from school.

We have not posted for a LONG time!....It was Eric's birthday last month and we had a nice quiet weekend with family and friends. We will be in D.L. for Easter this year with Eric's family. We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend in Fargo. Lots of family and friends, and of course....SHOPPING! My aunt Cheri, my mom and myself ventured around at 3:00 and didn't stop till 8...then Eric had to get to work, so I came home, got the boys..and headed back out later in the day. This year we are SO thankful for healthy kids, jobs, family and the unconditional love of God!

It's been so fun having my Aunt Cheri in town!...she just moved here from Montana, and the boys love her and her cat Princess. :)

Off to the pumpkin patch we go. Emmerich's daycare went to the Pumpkin Patch and I got to go along to help out. It is such a neat little place for young kids. Emmerich had a BLAST...and it was warm enough for Easton to come along. This October has been amazing for weather. We are lucky with a newborn to be able to go for walks and not worry about the cold quiet yet.

We can't begin to thank my parents enough for the past week!.. They have been SUCH a big help with everything. My mom took a few days off to come over and help me around the house and with Easton since I'm still recovering.

Finally Home! After 3 long nights at the hospital, we are finally home. Everyone is rested up and ready for reality. Emmerich is loving having his little brother home. We were surprised he even really cared and knew what was going on. He sat on the couch and held out his arms to hold Easton. We put Easton in his lap and he automatically started kissing his head and hugging him. Easton was nice enough to put up with it for a couple minutes, then he was done! It will be fun to watch these two interact. We praise God for TWO healthy boys. We couldn't be happier and more blessed. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers this past week.

Uncle Mikey came to visit for a bit today. Emmerich loves playing with him and running around with him. We hope he comes back more often now that summer is over and Zorbaz has slowed down a bit!

Well day three!... Thanks for all the prayers for us!....I am feeling pretty good. Tired, but good. We get to go home tomorrow and attempt this all on our own. haha. Emmerich has been pretty good every time he's been up here for a visit. He for the most part doesn't have much interest (or clue what's going on) but still doing pretty good for a 16 month old! Ok...off to take a rest before Easton needs to eat again.

Everyone is doing great. Easton has been sleeping for about 6 hours now, pretty wore out little guy. Emmerich thought his new baby brother was pretty neat...for about 5 seconds then he got his hands on Grandpa Bruce's cell phone and could not care less. Emily has been a trooper through everything today. I don't know if there is a stronger girl out there. She is going to crash hard tonight though, well deserved! Well, here I am. I'm over half done...almost 22 weeks to be exact! It's flying by this time around. I've been feeling great with this baby. The Dr. said absolutely no more running and I better watch the walking too. Since Emmerich was a C-section my "insides" still have not healed completely and I need to be very careful of "scar tissue" issues. So, I guess I'll just hang up the ol' sneakers until Fall(not a bad deal). I do miss working out though and can't wait to get back into it. and of course I had to throw in a couple pics of Emmerich(who's turning ONE next week)...He's spending the morning with Eric today since daycare is closed till noon.

Eric was in charge this morning and picked out his outfit. It's very appropriate since they are headed to the Vet for Meeko's check up and our Vet just happens to be a big Sioux fan.

Our Easter was spent in Fargo. It was very relaxing. We went to church then to brunch at Granite City....SO GOOD! Then had some naps and played outside. It was well needed....Eric has been working SO hard at Play It Again...and well I just get tired so easily. :)

Eric played in a hockey tournament this weekend in Grand Forks and he had quite the cheering section. We stayed at Diane and Dave's between games and relaxed. It was a great weekend, and Emmerich even got to stay one extra night with Dave and Diane alone. It was a nice break for us! :) Thanks guys.

Emmerich's newest game is going behind a door and slamming it shut. He thinks he's pretty big stuff and just laughs at this "peek a boo" game.

His first Valentines Day was spent listening to Mom, Grandma, and Grandpa play bells in church then headed to the Ground Round for some lunch.

I can't turn my back for a second on this kid! He's either digging in the dog dish, half way up the stairs or eating any book that is in sight. This day...helping me with the laundry. :)

Emmerich got to meet his Great Aunt Cheri from Washington this weekend. It has been so fun having her here for the weekend.

Emmerich LOVES to stand! He has pretty good balance but has taken a few spills(wtih the bruises to prove it). He is really starting to enjoy "playing" with the animals. For the most part they tolerate him pulling at their fur and crawling over them. You'll notice the "flood plants" in these pictures....Emmerich is needing some bigger jeans, but the kid is just so skinny I hate to go the next size up. haha. and I threw in a "butt" picture because every baby needs a "butt" picture.

We went and saw Santa at the mall last week. Emmerich gave him his very serious face and tugged on his beard a few times...then smiled for the camera and went right back to staring him down. haha. he's so crazy!

A few weekends ago we went up to East Grand Forks to spend the day with the Clements. It was a good time. They cut down their Christmas Tree every year, and I think it's the coolest looking tree there is!! So unique! Thanks for having us guys!

Last weekend we were part of the "First Choice Clinic" Adoption walk!! We thought it would be a great way to show our support since adoption has affected so many people in our family! It was so fun to have Diane and Casey be a part of it too. I think we will be making this an annual event!!

We spent last weekend with Eric's mom and her husband Gene, and his younger brother Mikey in Hinckley, MN for her 60th B-day!! It was fun to have a relaxing weekend at the hotel, and Eric and I got to go to the Regis Philben show! AMAZING. Enjoy the Pics...

My cousin Laura got married to a great guy, Craig, this past weekend. It was SO fun to see all the relatives we don't get to see that often....We missed ya Big Cheri!!

One Busy Weekend!

We had one busy weekend!! Friday night we drove down to the lake so I could do a Triathlon Saturday morning in Detroit Lakes. It went well...until the run. POURING down rain the whole time. I finished without walking/stopping and that was my goal. Took me a little longer than last year, but I think I had a pretty good reason!!--that wonderful C-section! Eric, Emmerich and my dad were there cheering me on in the rain. What troopers!

After the race we packed up all my gear and drove to Fargo. Eric dropped me and Emmerich off at my friend's Baby Shower, and off to Grand Forks he went, for State Softball. After the shower Emmerich and I rode up to the Softball Tourn with a girlfriend of mine. Such a busy but fun weekend!!

I have 4 other friends in town that have all had babies in the last 3 months(Emmerich being the oldest). We all have these shirts and we are just waiting for that last one to come along(any day) so we can take a "babies 09" picture!!

3 months FLIES by I start work again on Monday!~ I am going to miss being at home and doing all these fun things with Emmerich and other family. Eric took this picture this morning of us sleeping together...yes, that is my baby blanket we are snuggling with. I think I will be buried with it! I wonder if Emmerich will carry around his blanket with him till he's 27? (not if Eric has anything to say about it)
We all went on a pizza picnic to the park and my Grandma and Grandpa Russum made the drive down from Grafton to see us and the Berges.
We also spent lots of Monday nights watching Eric play softball!
Emmerich had his first night in his crib last Sunday...went really well. I shed a little tear when we sang to him and prayed, but I crashed and didn't wake up until he did.....at 6:45!!!!

He loves bath time!!

This is the best Garage Sale find EVER! It zips up and keeps him in the shade and prevents mosquitoes and bugs from biting him!
I think he's saying...."Mom, don't go to work....stay and play with me!"

It's sort of a tradition to get "dunked" by Grandpa Bruce at the Seibel house your first summer. Here is Emmerich's turn. He only cried for a few seconds. He's a trooper. Next summer I imagine he'll enjoy the pool a little more. :)

Emmerich is loving life. He's getting more personality each day!

He loves to watch TV. :) Just like mom!

Here is Emmerich and his friend Ryker...exactly 3 weeks younger. Their daddy's went to high school together.

Emmerich has learned to reach up and hit the little toys that dangle down. It's the cutest thing. He loves to just lay there, kick his feet and talk to the toys.

Meeko has been a great dog during all this craziness. She likes to lay next to Emmerich when he's crying or napping.

We had a GREAT Father's Day. Emmerich and I got Eric a Fire Pit that he's been wanting for a while. Can't wait to sit out and have some evening fires this summer.

We also went to lunch with my parents and the Berges and spent the day hanging around. Good day had by all! Happy Father's Day Eric, Dad, and Grandpa!

I finally got in a picture!!! Emmerich is starting to smile lots and he is GREAT at holding his head up. It's amazing how fast they change! A month has already gone by!

Emmerich and his big cousin Timothy! The kids have been taking turns playing "baby sitter" and holding Emmerich.

Eric and Jake are already trying to convince their boys that they NEED to play hockey. I'm pushing for Basketball, but not sure if we have the height to back that up! :)

It was my first birthday as a mom, and I couldn't have asked for more. We spent the day going to some garage sales, relaxing, running errands, and going out to eat with my parents and our good friend Bob. Now we are just watching a movie and laying low, looking at the pile of unopened thank you notes! Maybe tomorrow!.....MAYBE.

Emmerich's favorite face is his "I'm thinking really hard" face...Eric's mom said he used to do that as a baby too. It's amazing how much alike they look!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

We have had a very busy 4 days. I got out of the hospital on Thursday morning and we went straight to the airport to pick up Eric's Mom, Sue. I took a nap when we got home then off to a baby shower we went! Sunday we had Emmerich's Baptism and a little party after at my parents' house. Don't worry Eric made sure I took many naps and didn't push it too hard this weekend....(dr.'s orders). Thanks SO much to Sue, Andrea and my mom for helping with everything...and Eric, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do when he heads back to work. anyway....here are some pictures of the great weekend.

Here is Emmerich with some friends....our friend Andrew found a Meeko "look-a-like" for Emmerich to snuggle with. And obviously, Goldy....come on Sioux Fans....you need to step it up! This baby is going to be covered in Gopher Gear...and that's NOT o.k. by me! ;)

Someone looks a little tired!!! Eric has been SUCH a great help with everything. He's been camped out at the hospital with me this whole time. I thank God every day that I have such an amazing husband! Here is his first "real" picture taken by the Hospital....I thought it was SO cute and he's so alert already!! It will be on the Innovis Website soon.

Thanks for all the comments, prayers, phone calls, etc....I have been feeling great...a little sore but good all things considered.

Sorry for the delay but we definitely had some excitement! About 10 minutes after Emily got her epidural the baby's heart rate dropped to almost nothing. All the nurses and the doc rushed in and tried a bunch of different things. The doc decided that they needed to get her prepped for a C section STAT, it was just like on Grey's Anatomy. About 20 minutes later we had a healthy little boy! He was born at 5:40, weighed 8lbs and is 20" long. Both him and mom are doing great, Emily is very tired but definitely a champ! Thanks everybody for thinking and praying for us and pictures are soon to come.

Would I be jinxing him to reserve season tickets for myself for the Gophers 18 years from now to watch my little goalie?

About an hour ago the nurse gave Emily an IV drug called newbane to take the "edge" off. Whether it did that or not I don't know...all I know is she is hilarious! I think the effects are wearing now though and the anaesthesiologist is on his way up to give the epidural.

The doc was just in and broke Emily's water. There's no turning back now. Another reason I'm glad I'm not a woman. At least we have the Twins game...

A quick update, don't worry, the maintenance man was in earlier and got the volume for the TV to work. The stress is now lifted off Emily's shoulders, she is ready for Idol tomorrow night. Things are going pretty smooth so far.

Last night around midnight Emily started have some regular contractions. We held off until about 5 a.m. before we finally packed up and hit the road. We stopped over at Bruce and Judy's to drop off Meeko and then went to the hospital. Now we're just walking the halls trying to speed things up. I'll keep the blog updated throughout the day. Please pray for Emily and the baby.

My patients is wearing thin here, people! :)

We are SO anxious to meet this little baby and to finally find out if it's a boy a girl! I am going to show Eric how to Post on here, so we can keep you all informed. I have one last Dr's Appt tomorrow, so hopefully we'll know more, or at least have an idea if I've made any progress in the last week. The baby's room is all ready to go and we did one last go over of the house for spring cleaning over the weekend, which included organizing the garage--gotta make room for that stroller!

Keep us in your prayers this week. We hope to have some news soon.

Well, this will probably be the last update of me since I can't imagine getting any bigger!! The countdown is on. I am 2 1/2 weeks out! so I guess the baby could come at any time...but I'm not getting my hopes up. They have a baby pool at work going, and most of the guesses are after my due date(May 10th) and for a Boy.

Any guesses out there?
